    Just a heads up, if you're looking to make your own portable ssd, this isn't a good drive to stick in an external enclosure by itself. It relies on using the system ram and has no DRAM of its own.

    Nope. This is pcie gen 3. PS5 requires Gen 4. Read write speeds are too slow. If you want a Samsung ssd for ps5 check the Samsung 980 PRO

    Nope. For Samsung stick to 970 Evo+ or 980 pro. Both have dram.

    This is the m.2 980 pro, not the old SATA version. It uses LPDDR4 for it's DRAM.

    edit: oops my mistake, thought this was the pro version, sorry! no dram!
