I have been building my own PC's for 30 years. Having said that, it's really arrogant to assume everyone is comfortable building their own PC. When your new built PC is glitching, boot looping, and giving you blue screen of death, who are you gonna call? Which components are you gonna return? Where is your easy return and Costco warranty?

Can people please stop coming onto these posts and saying how you can build it yourself cheaper. No one gives a crap, all we want to know is if this is a good deal compared to other prebuilts out there.

Yeah, for folks looking the value of this, my numbers are somewhere around there, with my total coming to $875 (excluding OS, and a slightly better CPU). I'd guestimate that you could knock $100 off that total with BF prices for some of these, but that would still save you the effort of SDing every bit, ordering, shipping for some items, and assembling everything (I know some people like me find that part fun, but most folks just want to get going and use the thing)

As has been mentioned, the Costco return policy is very generous

Again the fact is your price point matches the offer, but does not beat the offer. Also you have the DVD version of the Windows 11. So you would need to add an external DVD device. Keep in mind, building a PC doesn't guarantee stability. Every part may have issues with motherboard capability.

Personally, the CoolerMaster case is average. I much prefer the HP case. The CoolMaster case is a case I would not buy for under $50. The NVME drive has below average read/write speeds.

The point we are making is that this gaming PC is a great deal. We can nit pick all day on pre-build vs. custom build.

I'd take the 5600($120) better gaming over the 5700g and save money there. You do not need a APU(5700g/5600g/4600g) for a gaming rig. Also, drop the ram to 16gb. More savings there. You can also use the stock cooler.

That's a great point. However I'm not concerned about customer service with as much of rebuying a part that needs to be replaced. Most likely buying from Newegg or Amazon will allow replacements within a certain period of time.

Yes I bought that HP Pavilion Gaming PC for $370. Upgraded to 1TB 7000/6000 NVME and provided my son my 16GB of GSkill. It's an amazing deal and his computer is super snappy and smooth on gaming with his 27" 1440p monitor.

ryzen apu is technically zen 2 so it's performance is lower than 11th gen

this is be cpu bottleneck before gpu becomes an issue

the 6600xt is practically half of the cost of the rest of the components but gpu WILL drop lower; it's ok for the sake of not building but not a good deal if you CAN build

if it had rtx 3060 then it would be better value to choose dlss or fsr compared to ONLY being fsr

32gb isn't important when compared to 16gb besides productivity but people prefer more overhead cause we apple be anemic with it

the asus g10 on amazon was better still cause it was cheaper and you can use savings to put into upgrades such as psu and AIO for the intel11400 which runs hot but outperforms the 5700g

Was the $370 a recent deal or from some other time? I'm looking for a PC, not really for gaming, but wouldn't mind the speed, but would like something in that $400 range.

Considering buying this to replace my mother's 7 year old Intel NUC I put together for her many years ago. She just needs fast and quiet for her productivity software and internet browsing. She prefers the mini PCs like the Intel NUC but this one is only 13.27 inches high so it will fit under her desk perfectly and is fairly small.

I'm just wondering about the noise factor and build quality, I need something that can last a long time like her Intel NUC so I'm not getting a call 2 years from now with her telling me it's dead.

What do you all think about getting this as a general productivity PC?
