And you are correct, once the drive does its thing and dumps the cache to the QLC, its good to go for another 300GB fiber download session.

What is the QLC refresh time? Is it just 400meg for 10 minutes?

Can you show me where it lists 300GB of SLC and how it becomes less with the increase in disk useage? From what I saw and granted it was an older video it showed QLC could drop to under 24GB as disk usage increases

It's okay though. Native write is still 400 MB/s and the TBW warranty isn't horrible and 5 years. It's also a brand-name drive with software and US based support.

Edit: SN750 SE is 600TBW/TB vs 400 TBW/TB for the P41 Plus, so longevity is getting closer. The P41 plus will generally crush that turkey of a drive.

Hynix has 1200TB TBW endurance whereas this one only has 800 TBW.
Cheaper brands are usually cheap for a reason.
But generally they are all the same, you have 15-20 gig of static SLC per TB, and 100-150 gig per TB of dynamic SLC. Once the drive is 100% full, you have used up 100% of your dynamic.
This could be a real problem with smaller drives like 500 gig. As once you are over 50%, you are talking you might only have 30-50 of total SLC to work with, and if your refresh isnt very aggressive, you could run out with just 1 game update and it would take 10x longer to finish.

This isn't a 500 gig drive from 2+ years ago. what the heck is your point? if you don't want it then dont buy it.
