which ones have good smells? which one is the best?
My favorites are Autumn Nature Walk, Bayside Cedar, Lilac Blossom (this newer version I thought is more pleasant than the original). If you like the fruity ones, Pink Sands is really popular as well but to me it smells like Starburst candy because it's so sweet.

The day before yesterday they had the regular large candles also for $10. I ordered a bunch, as they had my very favorite one, Midsummer Night, a black candle that is actually my favorite scent in the world.
They arrived at my door packed in PLASTIC BAGS - I kid you not - just wrapped with some packing tape. On a couple of them the tops were off, making them even weaker. One of the ones that the tops were off was all chipped along the top - of course. I don't know HOW they expected that to get to my house without breaking. I'm sort of amazed I only got one chipped one - must be all that thick glass Yankee uses. I mean, they didn't even use fragile stickers and they dropped it on my cement porch. I assume this was individual to the store that sent it, Central FL, but maybe not. For me, it certainly was a packing issue that they did this. They could have at least put the top on to strengthen it and put some bubble around it.
Wow.
The buy. of course, is itself very good. Yankee Candles are wonderful and burn for days, and the scent is strong. To get them for this price is a deal. My 5-year-old grandson spent the afternoon sorting my candles into piles and deciding which ones he liked best. He went home with a Midsummer Night Candle.

I used to even get the calendar because I love the smells, and buy the little samplers. It is very much personal opinion. IMHO, I like the ones that enhance the season - I'll buy pine ones for Christmas, summer ones for summer.
And I really don't like anything that reminds me of food. Vanilla and apple candles are out for me.
That said, If you follow all the links of all these candles they are selling, the ones I always end up buying are Silver Birch - I really love that one - Midsummer's Night - very perfumey but it is my favorite perfume - I would buy a perfume with that scent, for sure - and I always buy a Balsam and Cedar for Christmas.
For summer I always get a Pink Sands. It is a nice scent. YC usually puts a scent description and somehow, they do get it accurate. If they say it smells like a campfire or has coconut notes, it does.
