Pretty solid deal, I just ordered this not on sale which IDC I'm not worried about paying $160 for additional RAM although looks like this has better camera but screen is 400 vs 500 nits. https://www.costco.com/lenovo-sli...76663.html

I've deployed 2 of these (one gen earlier, 82QG0012US) at my work for a group that is collecting data from patients in a hospital setting and they have been very happy with both their build and power, so much so I was here looking for a 3rd one to deploy to a new hire and found this thread.

We ended up paying a little less ($1077 including the 4Y Premium Care Plus and 4Y Accidental Damage Protection Add On because of what they do and where they use it) so I'm going to hold off and hope I can get a little more off for them on this one too.

The Slim 7i is a better deal all around. Brighter screen, 144hz refresh rate vs 60hz, and if you buy it with the Costco Citi Visa card you get 4 years of warranty through Costco Concierge + Citi's card benefits. That's an outstanding deal.

The great thing about all these laptops with Intel Arc graphics is that while Arc drivers have been pretty hit-or-miss for gaming, the GPU supports AV1 encoding/decoding which is great for media production, and because you have a Thunderbolt 4 port, you can easily add an eGPU if you want as a docking station.

Why does Lenovo solder their RAM always... and never include a 2nd GPU slot. Otherwise I'd buy a yoga right away and wouldn't be looking for a month.

This was a key point in my search for a laptop. Their legion series are socketed and include a 2nd m.2.

It's pretty solid for what it is. I saw something similar, if not the same, from Best Buy, it was on sale for like $1299 or $1399 when it first came out. I don't recall if it was the touch screen, 2-in-1 though. It had 32GB of RAM and ARC A370m. The displays are very good, 16:10 aspect ratio, glossy screen, but I did find some thermal throttling running Cinebench R23 several times in a row. ARC A370m isn't too bad, for what it is... At this price, and considering what you can get now for around the same price point in terms of same CPU, more powerful GPU, unless you need touch/pen/2-in-1 features, I'd probably opt for one of the other deals for better power/performance for the money. Battery life I think was around 7-8 hours, although for the version w/o discrete GPU it could be more like 10 hours.
