People might not like the big size. 27" at 1440p is the standard sweet spot.

This looks very similar to the HP OMEN 27i in a lot of areas (this is in BestBuy's black friday sale for $249). I don't know which is actually better? Apparently the HP has much better build quality whereas the LG has HDR. Aside from that, it does seem to be pretty similar across the board.

I've owned several HP and LG's in the past and have always preferred the overall quality of the HP monitors, but YMMV

I have the Omen and I can't seem to find any upgrades that are better than it. (Worth fully buying a new monitor anyway.) It's the best 27" gaming monitor I've had! Until 4K/HDR is a real thing, I don't see myself replacing the Omen anytime soon.

How does it compare to Dell S2721DGF which is going for $269. This one has Freesync premium Pro and Gsync but a slightly lower refresh rate. https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/d...ccessories

Basically identical... in fact they probably use the same LCD panel. Dell usually gives you a nicer adjustable stand, USB hub, and 3 year warranty on their displays.

These are not bright enough for HDR and the 165Hz claim is a factory overclock. You are usually better off sticking to the panel's native 144Hz.

I bought 2 of them a few days ago from them ($249 each). I believe they reset their BlackFriday prices back to original prices this past Sunday night, but they should be going live again in the next few days. Great monitor for the price -- I bought 2 of them and have been honestly thinking about getting a 3rd once the sale starts again.

I'm using the OMEN 27i with an Xbox one X and getting 120hz/1440p, so I assume the series X will also

Sorry, noob question: Why do you get this monitor over the 32" LG 165hz G-sync for $200 that's been going around?
