Looks like Sling TV has 50% off first month, and using existing account's referral gives $20 off. Can both be combined for free first month? Anyone tried?

"Peacock Stream All Matches in Spanish via Telemundo"
I dont speak spanish but i'd rather watch the games in Spanish and listen to the lively commentators than the boring English ones that barely understand the game.

Latency won't allow for 4k transmission at this time for streaming live sports without massive delays.

If you get 4k from the streams - you will be sent more info down the tubes and the picture will look better than the regular stream, but from a 1080p source. You will get the other offerings in 4k, just not live sports. Google it and you'll see that true 4k for live events isn't there yet. Hopefully by the next World Cup
Do you have any info to substantiate your claim that it's 1080p upscaled? I understand that bandwidth restrictions might adjust the quality of stream as bandwidth allows and 4K might be slightly delayed so buffer can be built but if it is 1080p upscaled why would Fubo for instance only pick specific events to broadcast in 4K. Might as well say everything is in 4K if they just upscale.

Also, every 4K TV will upscale anyway... some better some worse but they all do it.

To be honest, English commentators are good, it is the American ones that are not great. It is not their understanding of the game, it is the tone of their voice. Very shrill and irritating. English, from Britain, have a better cadence.

I rather listen in Spanish anyways. The context is simple enough not to require a deep understanding of Spanish. I can watch a game that I am slightly interested in in the background and their tone of voice alerts me when to focus. Cannot get that with American commentators.

Yup, it's the American commentators that suck. Players like Donovan, Cobi Jones and Stu Holden may be good on the pitch but not behind the mic. They sound like you're watching golf. Then you have the USA studio analysts like Alexi Lalas that just annoying af. If only we can watch the BBC version would be great..

Does anyone know if Telemundo (over the air) is going to show every game?

In the US, I believe you can do a combination of Antennae TV of FOX (for US games)

And Tubi, a free service (which wont show live games but will have replays)

From what i can see all the important games will be aired on antennae TV for free, and the other games are at odd times for the US, so Tubi may be sufficient for replays. (note: I'm not sure how soon the replays get put up on that service)

Unless you are planning to stay up late/wake up early to watch some specific teams live, this may be your best (and free!) option

I have Hulu (With Ads) and ESPN+ (With Ads) bundle. Will I be able to watch it live? Or do I need the live tv option?

Could anyone please summarize what subscription I need to watch the world cup in 4K? Fubo has like 4 plans and I don't know which one is 4K and which one is not. Just cancelled sling, learning that they won't do 4K πŸ˜”
