Check your AmEx offer. There are $15 back on $100 Happy Cards offer that you can redeem for Lowe's gc. It is basically 15% off. I got it every other month. Never buy Lowe's GC with only 10% off.
just an fyi. lowes is horrid with returns if you use a gift card. even if you use it electronically, they insist on the refund being sent with a physical card which takes weeks, if not months to receive.
i highly suggest making sure you use your gift cards for something you know you will not be returning.
[QUOTE=steppedinit;159045358]Can you combine the veterans 10% discount with this, or the Lowe's 5% off using their card?
Not mentioned on the site.
I don't see why not? This is a gift card, which is a form of payment just like cash. You can use in store or online. I'm sure you can use your coupon/discount first then pay the remaining balance with this gift card just like cash. Only bad thing is if you return your item, they will give you a store credit or send you a new gift card with the refund amount.

Yes for the 10% veterans discount but not the 5% with Lowe's credit card for the portion you pay with the gift card.

Always. My brother in law and sister only go to lowes for this reason. They tell them they are military. Discount taken off top, then they use discounted giftcards to pay.

You can either print it out OR get the Lowe's app and add it to the wallet. It'll give you a scannable barcode for check out. The only issue is it would never update the new balance if I spent some but not all of the gift card.
I never realized we could add these to the Lowe's app. I've been relying on the link in my emails but it takes forever to find the email when I need to use the giftcard. This was definitely needed. TY!

This is probably sound advice. Definitely not the time to try any "HD-hack-style" purchases!
Additionally, I made sure to grab a 10% off coupon (ebay, etsy, etc) to help sweeten the deal as I rarely shop Lowe's and figured a one-time purchase would be best.
Finally, if you don't NEED to use the cards right away, and have a large purchase on the horizon, keep an eye out for Kroger gift card discounts as well. The last was 10% off up to $20 ($200 in GCs). HOWEVER, I don't know how many GCs you can use on one purchase at Lowes. If they have a max (3, 4, whatever), then make sure you're maximizing your savings while reducing your risk.

Happy slick deal hunting!
This is also a good point i forgot to mention. they definitely have a max # of cards. im not sure what it is off hand, but i recently had to place a few separate orders in order to use all my gift cards i had saved up to do a project. not a big deal till you are also getting things delivered. instead of one delivery fee, you have one for each order. so i had to prioritize what i needed delivered(pallets of concrete, and plywood), and pick up everything else(rebar, 2x4s, etc).
i think it is done on purpose to discourage people using gift card discounts to fund big projects/items.

I just ordered two bathroom sinks online using these newly-purchased gift cards. During checkout, Lowe's stated: "The maximum number of gift cards applied per order is 5."
