ABSOLUTE F*ING life changer!!! I LOVE my S7 MaxV Ultra. We have mostly hard floor with some sections of area rugs and it's amazing how this thing can manage to clean up everything. We have 3 cats, a bird, and a dog and I truly regret not getting this sooner. Now I only wish some of the refills go on sale as I am soon up for some replacements. The obstacle avoidance is impressive, and we also enjoy using it as a spy cam to watch our kitties when we're away. It's kinda hypnotic to just look at the camera stream when it's cleaning. The one thing I will mention though is that the dirty water tank does smell rank when you open it, so if you are disgusted by the thought of practically sewage sitting in that dock, you might want to clean the tank more often that when it's full.
Your comment is not helpful. What do you expect? Most of the products are made in China anyway.
And it's a vacuum, you worry on Chinese people knowing the map and layout of your house and how frequent you use the vacuum? Same thing will happen if this products is made in the US, US companies will also track the same data.
IMHO, i think this is not the best deal given it's call the Black Friday deals.
The discounted pricing is basically the same as past deals we have seen here. It's a shame, i was waiting to see the S7 MaxV Ultra, but it's still very pricey.
Tariq,
I didn't mention it by name because it was an earlier generation machine from iRobot called Braava 380t. I say it was an earlier generation, but they are still selling it. It was a mopping robot that wasn't capable of creating maps or self-starting. It broke down most frequently due to the treads on the wheels. It also managed to get stuck on a regular basis. Having a wet robot sit in one spot on an engineered hardwood floor all night was problematic.
It didn't create maps, it used a separate cube to know where it was in a room. The amount of effort it took to prepare a room for the robot, and to prepare the robot itself, made it almost useless. Even with its infrequent use, it had frequent problems.
Thanks for the info. My friend actually has it and I agree with your experience.
Does anyone know if the sale is midnight (EST or PST)? i have more hardwood floors. Is S7 better than Q7 Max? Does the S7 have LIDAR? Any insights will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Some of these seem to be LIVE on Amazon. The S7 and S7MaxV have "click and apply coupons" for the Roborock Black Friday sales amounts so a good catch for anyone looking.
I'm holding out for S7MaxV Ultra. Checking back every few hours.

What's the difference buying from Amazon vs Roborock directly? Just for easier returns?
I think the most expensive vacuum I ever bought was 400, eufy x8 what does the 800 one do that that one doesnt? I don't need the mop feature just the vacuum!
I have a plain S7 with the auto-empty dock and used it almost daily for the last year. It works pretty well and I am generally happy with my purchase but some things of note:
I have a Golden Retriever that sheds long-fine hair. I would have untangle hair from the ends of the brush every 1-2 weeks. Not difficult to do but something to watch out for if you have a similarly long-haired dog.
After I ran out of the initial set of bags I received with the vacuum I purchased some generic bags on Amazon - it may have been user error but I had a much harder time getting them to fit/work properly
I purchased the bagless container after having issues with the bags and it doesn't do quite as well with getting the hair out of the vacuum's bin as the bags did
Within the last couple of weeks the vacuum initially started taking way longer to vacuum (I would manually stop it at 2 hours when it normally took an hour) and would have really bizarre paths in the app map. I tried thoroughly cleaning all the sensors, resetting to default, deleting maps, etc and nothing has worked so far. I have been working with their support to try to fix it but I don't have high hopes at this point. Email support was quick to respond, and has been somewhat helpful although they've mostly just provided stock troubleshooting tips to date. My factory warranty is out but I have an extended warranty with my credit card and I'm guessing I will be using it.
Despite the issues, if I do receive a refund from my credit card company I will probably use it to purchase one of the S7 upgrades because it worked quite well when it was working (does anyone know if the new S7s are compatible with the old S7 auto-empty docks?). I will definitely be using my credit card with the extended warranty to buy it, though.
Does it avoid animal waste and similar "obstacles"?
Not sure on the others, but the S7 Max V Ultra says that it does. I figure if I am going to pay this much, might as well have it vacuum, mop, and clean itself so waiting on this model to go on sale. Website says the 24th.
