ABSOLUTE F*ING life changer!!! I LOVE my S7 MaxV Ultra. We have mostly hard floor with some sections of area rugs and it's amazing how this thing can manage to clean up everything. We have 3 cats, a bird, and a dog and I truly regret not getting this sooner. Now I only wish some of the refills go on sale as I am soon up for some replacements. The obstacle avoidance is impressive, and we also enjoy using it as a spy cam to watch our kitties when we're away. It's kinda hypnotic to just look at the camera stream when it's cleaning. The one thing I will mention though is that the dirty water tank does smell rank when you open it, so if you are disgusted by the thought of practically sewage sitting in that dock, you might want to clean the tank more often that when it's full.

Your comment is not helpful. What do you expect? Most of the products are made in China anyway.

And it's a vacuum, you worry on Chinese people knowing the map and layout of your house and how frequent you use the vacuum? Same thing will happen if this products is made in the US, US companies will also track the same data.

IMHO, i think this is not the best deal given it's call the Black Friday deals.

The discounted pricing is basically the same as past deals we have seen here. It's a shame, i was waiting to see the S7 MaxV Ultra, but it's still very pricey.

S7 is the best robot vacuum I've owned (have owned an S4 and S5), but it has issues with high pile, shaggy rugs. The spinning thing twirls around the threads and it gets caught. I don't think any other robot will do any better.
Additionally, if you have a rug pad underneath, creating a height difference of ~1" or more (maybe even 3/4") , it will have difficulty getting on top of the rug.

I still wouldn't trade it in for any other robot. I run it twice a week and only mop for deep cleaning and take out the handheld for small jobs in hard to reach places.
In my case there is no rug pad underneath. So it is just barely 6mm of thickness on a rigid rug. Most of the other carpets in my house are not high pile either. The Jet Bot doesn't have a problem on those carpets, but just gets stuck on the dining area rug and the entry way rug even though it shouldn't.. Not sure what is causing it.

I am also not happy with its battery. It runs out of juice in 90 minutes and is not even half way done with the cleaning within that time. Then it takes 4 hours to charge up and sometimes forgets where it stopped last.

The suction power is also not great. It sometimes just spreads the debris around rather than cleaning it up, while at other times it just works perfectly.

On the other hand, I have heard mostly positive things on the S7. So I will probably pull the trigger on the ultra even though it is 2x the Jet bot+ (which doesn't even have a mop)

I generally like my S4 Max - although even after 2x passes at max suction, I can follow it up on rugs with our Shark or Dyson "pet" vacs and get an absurd amount of dog hair and dirt.

These are good for "light" cleaning, but they do not replace the need for using a real vacuum at least 1-2x/week.

If you are in the "it's only dirty if I can clearly see dirt" camp, then robot only may suffice for you.

Now, why anyone would want a chinese sourced robot capable of doing high res video calls over the internet (these S7 models), is beyond me. I would be monitoring all traffic to/from that thing like a hawk and have aggressive filtering rules in place.

the best robo vacuum out there. I had a few Roombas, a few Neatos, and now S7 (non-Max and no auto-clean dock). It is so damn good.

Can you let me know how good the vacuum and mop is? How often do you have to empty / clean the mop filter? Can you throw the mop filter in the washer? Sorry for the many questions, but I'm thinking of buying the S7 (I think the same version as you and it is a great price point for me), but I would love to get your input to see if I should get it or not. Thank you in advance.

for more hands-on, somewhat objective reviews I would just go to Youtube and watch Vacuum Wars reviews. In my experience, Roborock doesnt have the most powerful suction, and similarly to the majority of Roombas (being round), I dont think it has the same reach (corners) as Neato, but the convenience, navigation AI, the app is pretty damn solid. I do not use the mopping feature as I do not like the concept of dragging dust/dirt around the floors and I go with the standard mop and a bucket because I feel like I can replace water or wash the mop after each area/spot. I am sorry for not being more helpful in terms of mopping experience. S7 is a great device and for auto-dock feature you dont need S7+ based on SDers' feedback and S7 would work too (I have not tested that, mine is just an S7, no auto-cleaning dock). The reason I like Roborock - it is able to navigate so many rooms and locations without getting stuck. I use it Mon - Wed - Fri and even if it cant reach certain areas (corners), it is very autonomous and can clean entire large house without any owner's attention. I cherish that. It gets stuck very occasionally (once in 10 or so cycles) when it sucks in some phone cables, socks, etc. Otherwise, it navigates freely.

I did research the S7 on YouTube, but I noticed that they focused on the S7 Max Plus or the higher end products. I was going to buy the Q7, but I read the reviews and most user said that the mop feature only drags versus the S7 that does a sonic (vibration) mopping with the drag. I will likely buy it and if not that great return it. I super appreciate your time and response. Hope you have an excellent day.

We don't work at Twitter but we bring in around $200k and I wouldn't spend $1k on a robot vacuum. I'm surprised that many people would drop this kind of coin. We do have a dumb Roomba upstairs that just bounces off walls and cleans randomly. It works really well and was around $200. Maybe the s7 ultra gives you an old fashioned when it's finished mopping?
People like to spend money on different things. Some folks drive $10k beater cars and others spend more on their lifted truck or luxury sedan than I did on a house. They all get you to the same destination.

I got the Roborock S5+ last year for I think $250, and its pretty damn good. App is well designed and the thing is hella smart. I don't know about spending $600 on it though...

I always find these type of products amusing. My $98 Yeedi 650 (RTIngs budget choice) cleans 10 times worse than this $1,000 robot vacuum?

People that buy this must be the ones they're talking about that earn 200 grand sitting on their duffs at Twitter.
So what? Let us enjoy our luxury robot vacuum and you can enjoy your less capable cheap stuff. Live and let live, man.
