ABSOLUTE F*ING life changer!!! I LOVE my S7 MaxV Ultra. We have mostly hard floor with some sections of area rugs and it's amazing how this thing can manage to clean up everything. We have 3 cats, a bird, and a dog and I truly regret not getting this sooner. Now I only wish some of the refills go on sale as I am soon up for some replacements. The obstacle avoidance is impressive, and we also enjoy using it as a spy cam to watch our kitties when we're away. It's kinda hypnotic to just look at the camera stream when it's cleaning. The one thing I will mention though is that the dirty water tank does smell rank when you open it, so if you are disgusted by the thought of practically sewage sitting in that dock, you might want to clean the tank more often that when it's full.
Your comment is not helpful. What do you expect? Most of the products are made in China anyway.
And it's a vacuum, you worry on Chinese people knowing the map and layout of your house and how frequent you use the vacuum? Same thing will happen if this products is made in the US, US companies will also track the same data.
IMHO, i think this is not the best deal given it's call the Black Friday deals.
The discounted pricing is basically the same as past deals we have seen here. It's a shame, i was waiting to see the S7 MaxV Ultra, but it's still very pricey.
I had the iRobot Braava 380T. It was a great mopping robot, but a terrible robot in general. No self-mapping or self-start or anything else. I now have the Roborock S6. It offers mopping which means, it drags a mop pad on the floor while it vacuums. Not to say it doesn't a bad job, but I haven't seen a great mopping robot that combines the side-to-side action of the Braava and the mapping/self-start functionality of the Roborock S6. It may exist, but I don't keep up with the offerings in this space.
In my experience mopping is a bit of an add-on for most of these robots. I haven't owned a robot that I kept full of water waiting until its next cycle is to begin. It is an operation that takes planning. I have to move the rugs so it doesn't drag a wet mop across them. I have to program it to avoid carpeted areas. I have to fill the tank and attach a mopping pad. What you are looking for may exist, but these are the things I have seen/owned.
Crap. I didn't know the maxV auto cleans the mop. I guess the s7 is gonna back. I'm curious why people are so afraid the Chinese will know your house layout, they might sell you matching furniture in ads ornwhat

This is what has me wanting the Ultra one. It will clean. Then go back and clean the mop pad, empty dirty water, refill clean water, and keep cleaning. Keep repeating until my entire downstairs is clean. All without me!
We have 5 dogs and mostly vinyl plank flooring with a large area rug in living room. No matter how often I mop, there are always dog prints across the floor along with their fur. My current dumb Roomba helps keeps up with the fur, but that's about it.
Looking forward to a CLEAN house without me mopping all the time!
Their website at least, already advertised to be on sale that day on their website.
Hopefully also Amazon and Target since the others set to go on sale today are on sale on all 3 websites.
I got the Samsung Jet + on the other deal for $499, and am not happy with how easily it gets stuck on rugs under dining table and on entry way, even though the rugs are just a few mm thick. Thinking of going all in on the Ultra and returning the Jet+. Does anyone know how good roborock is with navigating carpets? Also, is it really worth it at the $1k+ price tag?
As per the reviews, they call it as Vacuum Tesla

Is there any benefit/downside to ordering from Amazon versus directly from Roborock?
Haven't ordered directly from them, but to speculate...
Ordering from Amazon gets you:
1. Ability to use Amazon gift cards, credit card points (if tied to your Amazon account), or promotional financing / % back if using an Amazon store card.
2. Delivery through Amazon. Roborock website shows delivery through UPS or FedEx.
3. Potentially easier returns, as Amazon returns are pretty streamlined these days.
Ordering from Roborock gets you:
1. A code for an extra $15 off if you sign up for their newsletter.
Leaning towards Q5, may bump to Q5+. Just looking for something to clean up crumbs etc from our two young kids. No pets, not interested in mopping, hardwood/tile only.
Can anyone with a Q5 comment how it does with obstacles like chairs that aren't in the exact same spot every night?

The Ultra will be on sale 11/24 directly from the Roborock site for $1060.
