FYI looks like SVS started their BF deal early.
Prices have gone up,looks like dual is a little better.

I grabbed a PB-1000 Pro for a bedroom "HT" setup (projector, Denon S760H, JBL speakers) setup. An old Mirage MM-6 woofer (can't really call it a subwoofer...) finally died, and I have been wanting to replace for a while.
I did look at the RSL Speedwoofer as my second choice; everyone loves those, and it's far cheaper - $500 total vs. $750 total.
I wanted: "app" control, so when someone else in the family yells at me to turn it down, I'll have an application setting for that (and when I upgrade my Mac to M1 or M2 or M3, it will run that SVS app on the Mac directly). I wanted an extra 2", as there's no replacement for displacement, and I wanted SVS's customer service, where I can return anything, free, if it doesn't meet my expectations. (And yes, I know RSL does that too for just a $25 fee.)
Customer service kept me away from Monoprice's Monoilith. Great setup, similar pricing as SVS after BF15 discount at Monoprice, THX Ultra designs are the bomb, just didn't want to roll the dice with amp issues. And in a 1000 cubic foot room, the PB1000 Pro will be perfectly fine.
Plus I already have a PB-3000 in a big, open floorplan living room that I like and that works well, and I like having the app controller on that, and this is more of the same.
Is it worth an extra $200? It was to me...

Not sure about your Denon but many of their models have either or both dynamic EQ and LFC (low frequency containment) settings that the user can select to cut down on the bass for watching at night, etc.

Agree; almost everything does nowadays. But it's faster in the iOS (or with Apple ARM, MacOS) app, and it's also vastly more configurable. Also, I wanted a lot more controls then just sub on/off and +/- boost. The app gives that.
I fully agree most won't find that worth the cost difference. No argument there.

The sale brings the $2K per sub price back to 2017 prices.
Free shipping isn't free and most high end subs are heavy.
