I got this at Costco for $20 more instead. I figured it's worth it because of the free shipping, extra 2% back as an executive member, 90 day return window, and free 2nd year warranty.

This is a great laptop. I've had mine for a while (like a year or two) and got it for like $750 from Costco. Thought it would have been cheaper by now!

The 16GB version is on sale too, however the discount a mere $100 unfortunately. Also available in other colors, or at least at my local Microcenter.

on top of them being more accessible for ram upgrades and etc (especially the older you go.

This is a really solid laptop. Portable, efficient fast.
My only issue is they glue the battery in..it's a consumable component that'll degrade with time and it's glued..

Im a big fan of Microcenter, i bought all my Apple tech there, they usually have great deals on 'Open Boxes' that are either basically brand new or just returns. I picked up the Macbook AIr M1 8/256GB last week for $639+tax in silver. The laptop based on coconut app only had 1 battery cycle and the warranty started 10 days before i bought it.

My wife uses this laptop everyday. Works amazing! Never overheats and the battery last ALL day! She charges it at night and uses it all day, and never has it ran out of battery during the day. Much better than any other laptop out there at this price point.

Apple's M1 processors are awesome.

for regular average joe computer users you'll notice the excellent battery life.

For heavy computer users, you'll notice the power of these portable M1 processors (NOT for Gamers tho FYI)

if you use your laptop as a web based PC or for content creation, you'll love these machines.

The only downside is you cannot upgrade the ram or ssd after purchase, and apple charges outrageous prices for upgrades. BUT if you only need the base/entry model, your golden.

How are stores able to offer such low prices for this laptop? I know it's a couple years old but the M1 chip is still a powerhouse for this price, and the rest of it is pretty good too.
