What I tend to do when needing something like this - drill, countersink, drive a screw, I'll use at least two drills / drivers (sometimes 3). I mean, I've got at least half a dozen of them, as I'm sure most SD'ers who can't resist the good deals do.

So this is bad for 1 handed or ladder work. I now had to buy something else with a Quick Hex attachment that doesnt require 2 hands to pull the release - while also pulling out the bit.
What I bought on Amazon has a sleeve that pulls and stays open, thus you can reverse the bit with 1 hand.
