Wouldn't this be better than the LG monitor (VA vs IPS) that was on Walmart for $200 too even tho this is sort of a no name brand?!?
It's not really no name but it's also not properly established. Monoprice is somewhere in-between at this stage IMO.
I have their 35" Zero-G ultra wide monitor, bought it about a year and a half ago. I am very happy with price vs quality. I would buy this deal if I was looking for this size and form factor.
I found a review of this model that says it's gsync compatible. Has anyone had any experience with these Monoprice monitors to confirm they are actually gsync compatible even if they are not mentioned anywhere?

The specs look good for a casual gamer with a Series X, right? Only question is if it's HDMI 2.1 but the person I'm buying it for plays Fall Guys and Elden Ring, currently. Not a competitive, pro gamer by any means.
The price and size seem good since this person was torn between a TV or a monitor since it will be on their desk and they plan to connect their laptop to it too from time to time.

Looks like I'd get the curved VA model for gaming.
