You'll get charged the full price + taxes when making the order with a trade-in online. When you go in-store to pick up the new phone and trade in your old phone, they'll refund you the difference and with that, your taxes will also be adjusted according to the final price.

Source: I traded in my Pixel 6 for a Pixel 7 a month ago at Best Buy.

My iPhone XR is in good condition, no scratches, no cracks in the screen or back, but a drop caused the LCD cable to come loose (?) and there are some vertical black lines on one side of the screen. Does that make the phone fair or good condition?

Sigh if you don't understand the difference why should one explain it to you. while they are owned by Verizon due to the TracFone acquisition they are still separate companies generally speaking straight talk phones are locked to straight talk. do whatever you want people like you will anyway as long as it benefits you
