You'll get charged the full price + taxes when making the order with a trade-in online. When you go in-store to pick up the new phone and trade in your old phone, they'll refund you the difference and with that, your taxes will also be adjusted according to the final price.

Source: I traded in my Pixel 6 for a Pixel 7 a month ago at Best Buy.

I purchased online for pickup. My cc had a hold for the total amount prior to discounts. They applied everything at the store and the final price came up. Make sure to have your invoice ready just incase because they had to get a manager to check it out.

I had an old iPhone X 64Gb collecting dust somewhere in the drawer. BestBuy wanted to trade it for peanuts, so I went to Google Store. Google gave me $345 credit for the Pixel 7. Total upgrade price: $155 + tax. The phone should arrive by Monday.

yeah. iphone X trade in value at best buy is $90, while xr at $460

Probably not the cheapest but for me was the safest way by ordering one from Verizon ebay store. They have 2 day shipping plus free returns. I paid $204 with tax for XS version refurb good condition. ETA on Monday. Hope that helps someone.

Yep. Especially considering that XR was just a small upgrade from X. But I am happier dealing directly with Google. BestBuy store always gives me creeps anyway and their customer center has a typical 20 minute wait.

Thanks! ... my BB account shows the credit and final price. My credit card still has the full amount pending so it should clear by tomorrow.

7 days counting the day you ordered but you can extend it another week as well. I ordered today, they'll hold it till November 23rd, I can also extend it till the 30th. The main thing is having a $500+tax hold on your card.
