You'll get charged the full price + taxes when making the order with a trade-in online. When you go in-store to pick up the new phone and trade in your old phone, they'll refund you the difference and with that, your taxes will also be adjusted according to the final price.

i tried to trade in a iphone 11 for a 128gb pixel and it told me my trade in value was higher than the phone being purchased… so i just went to a 256 model… :/

I didnt see this mentioned on this thread, but was on s22 seperate threads where activating the unlocked phone vs Tmobile yields additional discount, unless Bb kilked that additional discount. I was able to get that when s22 deal was live. No need to add a new line, just activate vs an existing line.

Anyone tried this with the Pixel deal ?

I've been thinking about moving from the pixel 6(256) to the pixel 7(256). After trade in, it's still going to cost $200+ out of pocket.
Not the best deal I've seen, it was a better deal back when BB was also giving $100 gc when the 7 launched.

Yes. They don't care as long as it's unlocked, you can claim anything. If you want to improve your chances, take out your SIM and just tell them the carrier is Verizon, ATT. It is technically valid because it is unlocked. I traded in an iPhone XR from Cricket last night and they were extremely nice and helpful. I recommend doing it in person end to end so you don't have to pay the taxes. If you buy for pickup you will have to pay tax on the entire amount because your trade in value would not be calculated at the time of checkout. I'm not sure how they would reverse tax during trade in but didn't want to chance it.

So do you make the order online for store pickup? Or do you just show up in store and tell them you want to trade in your phone for the pixel
