You'll get charged the full price + taxes when making the order with a trade-in online. When you go in-store to pick up the new phone and trade in your old phone, they'll refund you the difference and with that, your taxes will also be adjusted according to the final price.

Source: I traded in my Pixel 6 for a Pixel 7 a month ago at Best Buy.

You shouldn't have a problem. My associate didn't even ask for the carrier, but as many people have said just tell them it's Verizon and they won't bat an eye. My store was out of stock as well, so I processed the trade in in-store and had them ship the Pixel to my home.

I'm assuming you did the process entirely in store with no advanced online order? Also did yo get the BB residual gift card value in store before leaving with the receipt for shipping? Wondering if you still have to pay anything in store when the value of trade in off the iPhone 11 is higher than the phone cost when the store chooses the shipping option

It seems like if you do in store they'll give BB gift card for the trade in vs refund on the credit card when online. Anyway to get around gift card? Also seems in store they can activate google fi and get it free for 2022. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/prom...ixel-offer. But choosing activation with google fi online gives only $110 for iPhone XR. Anyone knows if one can avail this best buy trade in and google fi deal both?

Just got denied at the Westbury, NY store. Employee there said they won't take a Straight Talk phone (he seemed to know about the deal) even though I said it was a Verizon phone. Avoid that store if you wanna do this deal.

Correct. You can't order a pixel 7 128gb online with iphone 11 trade in unless you lower the reported quality as fair. A few pages back somebody said the store told him to cancel that order and check back in a few minutes so they could run the whole transaction in store. Or you can ask them to log it as fair as well, but then you're just leaving money on the table and that's not what slickdeals is all about.

I got the full $525 trade in value for the iphone 11, with the extra balance on a gift card. Did everything in store but asked to have the phone shipped. They're sold out everywhere nearby, and I wanted to lock the trade in value instead of risking the $350 Google promo expiring on 11/28. The BB website says the trade in value is good for 2 weeks, but I wouldn't be surprised if they end up saying the BB $175 value is guaranteed, but Google's promo is expired. It may still work out, but why risk a guaranteed thing?

The gift card is given when trading in a phone worth more than the value of the phone you're purchasing. They will never refund you the extra amount to your credit card.

Had you tried, you would know there is NO option to mail-in a trade in device. Has to be completed in-store

How'd they determine it was from ST? I was told the only way to know is to put a none ST SIM in it?

Some folks are ruining the deal for others.
No one should mention the MVNO name like straight talk!!
Say the underlying carrier name
Ex: straight talk, total wireless : Verizon
If Unlocked, say the carrier you were using or say Verizon
