I would do this instead:
Buy a used Pixel 4 from Swappa for around $120, trade it in to Google Store and pay $55 to get a Pixel 6a.
Plus, search Pixel superfan referral and you can get $100 store credit.
I miss SD 2015.
Repped.

So I did a little digging into the possible modem issue I mentioned in a previous post. A large number of people have serious connectivity issues with this phone and other Pixel 6 series, to the point where they are essentially unusable. This issue is no secret, many reviews mention it (that's how I became aware of it): Here are a couple articles (a google search will show many many more):

https://www.androidauthority.com/...ts-3183677
https://www.androidauthority.com/...350/It%27s

The issue seems to be widespread -- it's hard to say exactly what percentage of owners are affected, but it appears to be a significant risk. People seem to have narrowed it down to being a hardware problem with the Exynos modem used in the phone. From what I've gathered, the bottom line is that it just has very weak reception, so if the signals in the areas you travel aren't stellar you are likely to face frustration, e.g. constantly switching airplane mode on and off or rebooting to regain a signal.

Still deciding if I want to take the chance on this -- I can trade in my Pixel 5a and upgrade to this for free so it's tempting. Looks like you have 30 days after you receive the phone to send your old phone to Google for the full trade-in value, so if I do get the 6a I plan to test the hell out of the connectivity right away, so if there are any issues I can just return it and forget the whole thing (I assume there are no return shipping fees, can someone verify?)

At the Google store it shows $499 if you want to use it with Verizon, with trade, $299 for the 3a or $244 with the 4. I don't see $55. I have the 3a.

Is this phone any good? Is it worth it to upgrade from a Pixel 5a? Google is giving me $299 in trade value for my year old 5a, so my total after trade in it's basically a wash. The difference is just $20 in tax after trade in.

you stil pay 299$ w/ tax but you ship in your old phone for rebate

Good phone best clean Android phone out there (Moto included). No Samsung added "stuff". My current 5a 5G doesn't do 5G well, the FCC didn't approve it for use in the preferred mmWave spectrum, limited to the crowded LTE bands. Not sure that the 6a does any better. Other than that nice solid, no frills phone that gets the job done with above average battery life. With an old iPhone trade-in legally saved from the recycling pile and 120 days of Google Fi cost me $100.

Trade allowance for an iPhone SE 2020 is $230. Sweet.

I got an LG V60 for $170 on Swappa and traded it in for $800 off Pixel 7 Pro. T-Mobile Magenta Max Plan.
I don't see a trade in value of $800 for the v60

https://www.t-mobile.com/cell-pho...0029936996 right above the picture of the phone it says see 3 deals. The LG V60 ThinQ is still listed under the $800 off promo. Again, you have to be on the Magenta Max Plan in order to use that promotion.

Edit: The deals area above the phone may take a second to load on page. Had to wait about 4 seconds for it to load so I could click on it.

Whoops I thought you meant you could get this on the Google Store. Not a bad deal if you have Tmobile
