This drive w/Heat sink is ideal for PS5, PC, or laptop use. If want to store and run Optimized for Series S/X games, you'll need to buy the Seagate Expansion Card or run those games directly from your console's internal SSD.

Not as sold/listed above. You could buy an external NVMe enclosure and connect it via USB as an external drive.

I bought this drive as well, but I pushed the shipping date out to late next week. I'm not entirely sure if I need this drive as I have a 2TB SN850 NVMe in my PS5. I still have a lot of storage left. I doubt I could sell off my SN850 locally to recoup some of the cost. Either way, I'll keep my order for now and decide later in the week if I want to cancel it or not.

Thanks OP. Just canceled the one from prime day that hasn't shipped yet. That one has 10% cashback versus 5% here but at 399.99, I still save a couple of bucks.

Any idea what heatsink should be used with this 4tb drive in a laptop?

The following Heat Sink should suffice - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...UTF8&psc=1

I wish there were slimmer Heat sinks because you don't have a lot of clearance in most laptops.

Best Buy won't price match because the model number isn't the same, even though it's the exact same drive lol. WDBB9G0040BNC-WRSN on Best Buy vs WDS400T2X0E on Amazon lol.

Oh well, guess I won't be getting 5% back on this one ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Dumb question, would I need one with the heatsink if my Mobo already has the heatsink cover for the nmve drives? Not sure what the clearance is, I assume the bare drive is all I need.

You should try it in store. I ran into the same issue when I bought my 2TB SN850, and I had to price match it at Best Buy. Online reps denied it, but they didn't have an issue doing it in store.

I always install one out of habit. You should be fine with the included Heat sink, but I had an extra one lying around when I built my gaming PC so I used it.

Thanks, I'll give it a shot in-store.
