It definitely could be better since it has much better performance from processor and RAM, but if someone needed a 2-in-1 with a touchscreen and pen, this option would be better.
You and the Staples link Q&A says it can't upgrade and is stuck at 8GB of RAM. That is a sad deal breaker if true.
There is a slightly different configuration of the exact model on sale at Costco right now for $550 + $15 shipping. It comes fith 16GB of RAM for $65 (which could be a good value). Unfortunately, you also give up the Lenovo Digital Pen (which this deal includes).
Just giving the option for those who need the extra RAM.
My research shows that the only decent models from these plastic garbage brands are Dell XPS/Lattitude, Acers, Thinkbook T's.
Im going to wait for ebay prices to go down get a touch screen Thinkbook certified or wait until Detachable keyboard laptops become cheaper.
