Main difference is object detection (pet poop) on the j7/j8. The + only indicates the auto empty base station

j8 is a Costco exclusive with bigger battery but otherwise about the same device

It is, just the iRobot Roomba j8+ at Costco is $599.99 online (probably a little cheaper in store). So is $250 worth an auto empty bin? That is the question you must ask yourself, if you want to clean your robot vacuum every time you run it or once a month (barring if you have long hair).

The current best robot vacuum is the Roborock s7 MaxV which includes a mop. Roborock has two base stations, the Plus and the Ultra, good and great, respectively. Without the base station, it's $640; the Plus auto empty dock combo is $869.99; and the Ultra coming in at $1,399.99.
