Extended my Essentials for $45 until 1/20/2024 then upgraded to Premium Plus for an additional $52. So $100 for more than a year of Premium Plus, not bad I say.
Since a year of premium is also 25% off in this sale and only $90, couldn't you have just bought the year of premium for even less?

Does anyone know if you can stack multiple years of any level of this discount deal? Also, in the past when I was still on the fence about joining apparently you could order X years of Essential (ex during $40/yr CD Keys/Eneba deals), then pay a one time fee off $100 for Plus or $150 or Premium to convert all years to that tier.

For someone ordering 5 years of Premium this deal would work out to $45*5 years = $225. Plus one time fee of $150 to upgrade all years to Premium, $225+150 = $375. This way 375/5 comes out to only $75/yr for premium. Under this same deal Extra would come to $65 per year. (45*5+100=325/5=$65). It gets even better if you were stacking more than 5 years, like 10. Its a big up front cost but considerable year to year savings if you think you'll still be gaming on PS in 5-10 years, big 'what if' though.

Can anyone confirm if you can

1) stack multiple years with this deal like you can with CD keys essential deals. If not, it may be best to wait until CDKeys or Eneba has their 40 or 45 for essential deals.

2) Most importantly, do the one time $100 for Extra and $150 for Premium fee to upgrade all of your stacked years?

After getting a PS5 earlier this year and not signup for Plus yet I've been meaning to stack with the CD Keys 40 deal on 5 years then upgrade all to Premium, hope I didn't wait too long.

cool dude but that's not my point.... the PC (and PS5 for that matter) has stabilized and gotten much easier to aquire than the COVID CRYPTO years

again, a 6600 is 200 bucks.... bringing out the 4080 is just pretending to be stupid
That's not really the PP's point. It's been a *LONG* while since I've personally had a gaming PC. These days I build machines for office work only. However, I do maintain two gaming PCs for the kids, using relatively modest hardware like 1660s. The kids don't particularly care about the hardware but they do complain when things slow down. Throughout the years I've had to upgrade the hardware multiple times, including new CPUs, new RAM, switch to SSDs, new graphics cards, new monitors, etc. In the past six months I had to upgrade the SSD of one machine from 256GB to 1TB, swap a failed power supply, and fix a broken silver switch on a K70 keyboard.

For my own gaming pleasures, I've only used consoles and have had to deal with none of these "issues". Certainly, a powerful PC rig will still hold an edge over a PS5, but the visual quality of a PS5 is truly in the same league as PC, certainly higher than anything anyone can assemble for $400-$500.

1. You can stack any essential deals no matter where you get it from. I'm up to 2029.
2. The one time applies to all the years. It gives me an option if I want to pay a one time fee of 100 for extra or 150 for premium for the remaining 2363 days lol.
My average cost for each year is about $36. Planning to get up to 10 years before I upgrade to extra.

WATCH out for Playstations auto subscribe. I swear I had it turned off and when I tried multiple times to contact customer service I couldn't cancel it. I was forced to do a charge back and now I'm banned. It is a PITA dealing with Playstation bc their chat bot is broken and they have limited hours for phone. All I wanted to do was buy again through CD keys and continue using the service... now seems my Playstation account is locked up and they are holding it ransom for the full price of Playstation ➕.

Use virtual one time cards if your cc company offers them. Cap one does. I create one, subscribe and then delete card from account.

This is the lowest tier, right?

I feel like I see deals for $40 at least once a week every since I bought mine for $45. If I didn't already have a sub, I would NOT jump on this deal.
careful those sites might steal your credit card info, and probably charge you taxes on psn no taxes & i got paypal saved my purchases are super easy and safe no code punching

Yep. Just need to buy that 1000 dollar graphics card.
There's been some decent testing since the PS5 came out and the modern equivalent of the PS5 GPU is roughly a 2070 super, which came out in 2019 for $500 but can be found for roughly $250 today. The PS5 is still a great deal, I own one and I love it, but aside from market scarcity due to the previous crypto boom, it's actually not prohibitively expensive to get into PC gaming. I say this as a guy that spent over $1000 on a graphics card, but have built plenty of cheap PCs for friends.

Since I was on Essential plan you could only get the discount on the difference to your expiration date for the other tiers. Hence you need to upgrade your current plan at discounted rate then pay the discounted difference to upgrade to your new expiration date. Then you can stack as many discounted Premium tiers as you want.

Does this activate immediately? Bought my son a PS5 for Christmas but don't want to use the plan until then.

Is there an expiration date on the upgrade to other tiers option? I keep seeing for $100 to upgrade to the next tier for the remainder of my subscription. Currently locked in until 2026 and debating it.

Here's a question. Since $45 will be the price via Sony, is it possible to use our balance from psn to pay for it?

I've been stacking the GameStop $10 psn codes by using the $5 so technically it would be $22.50 per year

How do you do that? Whenever I go to GameStop they say they don't sell $5 cards therefore they try to make me buy a $10 gift card for $5

So I'm an idiot.
My essential plan expired a few days ago. I didn't want to renew since Black Friday was right around the corner.
I noticed on my ps5 Sony was offering 7 day free trial for the premium and extra plan. I signed up for the 7 day trial, it officially ends on the 23rd for me.

I canceled the auto billing but now that I am trying to get in on the $45 deal, it does not allow me to purchase it. I think because I am on the premium plan.

anyone else in a similar situation? Maybe I am missing something but I think I have to wait until the 23rd and hope that the offer is still available.

If I have essential currently and I get extra through this, what happens to my essential year that I prepaid?

with playstation, it's $10 minimum. you can even have them print a $10 code on the receipt.

So the price is $10 but you use your $5 monthly code and pay $5 cash.
