Love how Amazon says it's 44% off. This PSU usually sits around 140-160, actually considered this PSU a month ago and it was close to this price. The 1000W Asus Strix gold was cheaper at the time, even though it's marketed as gold, it actually passes as platinum rated.
Been this price for a hot minute. I been watching for over a month hoping it'll go down some more

I recently got one of these and love it. The oled screen is absolutely not needed, but it's actually a pretty slick feature. I like seeing the current power usage while I'm doing different tasks.

It was once $132 during a lightning deal, still a very good deal. You would be paying ~$100 for a 850 gold unit, extra $40 gives you plat, sleeved cable and a screen showing power draw and some RGB.

from the $50 one this doesn't seem worth it unless you have a power hungry system

for a 850w cooler master gold is for $60 with rebate

Although there are cheaper models out there that will serve just as well, none of them have RGB and a LCD Display showing current power draw (unnecessary but undoubtedly super cool)

Trying to figure out if this will be strong enough(850w vs 1000) for a 13700k and 7900XTX/ Nvidia 3900.....

Does asus make good psus. I only go with seasonic or superflower. I have a seasonic 650 platinum going strong but just got a 13th gen i7 and considering upgrading.

You'll want 1000w for a 13700k and rtx 3090. They are both power hungry chips. Even if you get the 7900xtx I'd go 1000w just to be safe.

If you don't plan to OC, this will run your setup. If you OC then you want more head room

These are awesome till you notice that the little screen will be upside down in 99% of the builds lol but it's still a high end PSU

For anyone curious, this is built off of the Seasonic Prime Ultra Platinum platform, and Seasonic of course is the OEM.

Should be fine, you could probably get by with this for a 13700k and 4090, 7900 should be much more efficient.
