I was just answering their question. You could play older games with igpus with various experiences, but that wasn't the intent of igpus. If anyone was wanting to "game" on an igpu, Ryzen would be the best way to go. Especially with the 680m.

Pretty good deal. I saw they had the 1tb hdd version at $349
I bought the 1tb hdd version and replaced the hdd with a 512gb m.2. Decent computer for the money and would have bought this version if it was available at that time. This laptop would definitely work well for most users and the screen is reasonable for being a 17" screen.
Edit: My laptop wifi card had only 1 antenna attached. I added a second antenna to increase the wifi speed and reach.

Most major PC manufacturing companies have lines of gaming laptops with discrete gpus. It's really not as uncommon as you seem to think. Especially with modern AMD integrated graphics on their newer stuff being pretty fantastic.
Dad is looking to replace his very slow laptop. I don't see him ever playing games, but he would be streaming and browsing the internet. Would this laptop be responsive for that, or would it struggle with a program or two open?
Does anyone have any specific feedback on touchscreen vs. No touchscreen? I've never had a touchscreen, and have been looking for a laptop for some time that checks off strict boxes. This meets my criteria but without the touchscreen. Do people like touchscreen? Is it totally preference?

LOL...he could do that with just a chromebook...this would be overkill for him.

I have 1165g7 and can't even play Fortnite at FHD 60fps… Integrated graphics aren't meant for gaming. Meant to help the cpu run productivity programs.
You could definitely cloud game with a decent internet speed… And emulators. 🤔
