Im using a gen 2 Nike, still works fine. Battery lasts a day or two depending on use. Until they get batteries to last a week on these things, I won't buy another.

The SE1 is basically a 5 with a couple features disabled/missing (EKG and always on screen) so it would be similar to that upgrade. Newer processor 40mm instead of 38mm etc.

I say worth it, I have both but you can tell there's a noticeable increase of speed and the series 3 is a pain to do updates on

Well series 3 isn't getting updates anymore so shouldn't be a pain in the future but I guess that is also a big difference.

Seems so. The expected support period is about 5 years. This version is 2 years old. Annual average cost of ownership will be 50 per year. In comparison version 8 recently came out so it's 5 year annual cost of ownership is 80 dollars for its non sale price of 400. Of course the extra set of features might justify the added cost.

I feel the same. Also, I'm a Walmart+ free member but they are not giving early access. It's only for paid members. Finally, it's paying off for plus members

You may want to consider getting the new SE (v2) watch directly from Apple with $50 GC BF promo starting on BF. You can buy 3 x $100 iTunes GC from Target/BB (w/ $15 GC promo) to pay for the watch. If you consider those GC's ($50 iTunes + $45 GC total) close to cash value then the newest SE is not that far off from Walmart's price for gen 1, at least for 44 mm model.
