Im using a gen 2 Nike, still works fine. Battery lasts a day or two depending on use. Until they get batteries to last a week on these things, I won't buy another.
Is battery life same on all watches? Worth signing up for Walmart +? Looking for wife who won't use advance features. Thanks
Yeah, it's pretty much the same across watches. I had this SE until recently when I ended up with a Series 8. SE probably had slightly better battery life, but marginal difference. The Ultra is the only one with measurably better battery life, but it really comes down to how you use it. Expect a normal day's use out of most of them unless you're tracking a ton of fitness. Around 18 hours is what Apple quotes I think.
IMO this is not a great deal seeing as you can get the new 2022 SE model for only $100 more. These watches seem to reach end-of-life pretty quickly and cease to get updates after a few years so it's worth it to buy newer in this case

I disagree. $100 more is a lot more when talking about $179. Up until now, i've been using a series 1 apple watch. OG, 1st gen and if the screen didn't start to peel off, i would continue to use it. I use it for work only and just need it for texts, calls and emails. So for me, i don't need a pulse oximeter or ECG reading. Battery life is fine. Just charge it at night when you go to sleep
You may want to consider getting the new SE (v2) watch directly from Apple with $50 GC BF promo starting on BF. You can buy 3 x $100 iTunes GC from Target/BB (w/ $15 GC promo) to pay for the watch. If you consider those GC's ($50 iTunes + $45 GC total) close to cash value then the newest SE is not that far off from Walmart's price for gen 1, at least for 44 mm model.

I upgraded to the ultra and battery last 48hrs the screen never goes to sleep at that
What's the major difference between SE2 and 1st gen SE? I got the $219 deal from Target for SE2 but it seems like there isn't a whole lot that's different between the two. Not gonna drive to Target for their GCs so I can't do the 3GC trick either.

Thanks so much. See they are back in stock and don't need Walmart +.

Biggest difference is the processor upgrade and crash detection. SE2 has the current processor so speed should be improved.
