so what if you want to pass a smart tv that has already been connected to the internet to someone that doesnt understand all its bells and whistles, like an elderly person. is it possible to totally hard reset a smart tv so that it thinks its never been connected to the internet before?

But depending on the interface some will still bug you if you hit the wrong button. Almost need a simple remote with no app/menu shortcut buttons on it to be sure.

I'm an Android phone user so nothing against Google, but they just can't figure out how to optimize their apps/platform on tv's for some reason (or just don't do enough testing).

However the tcl 5 series is better and there is a Best Buy deal for $200 for a 55". So it depends if you want a bigger screen or a better quality smaller screen
