I bought the $188 one and it was trash. Straight-on viewing was ..ok... but anything at even a slight angle and it was awful. This is the 55S41 $188 on Nov 8 or thereabouts, that I'm micro-reviewing.
I took it back, and I'll keep using a 2010 Sony; the Sony was superior.
I have a TCL 55" 4 series since they dropped to $299… like back in 2017. Used in bedroom so it's only straight - on viewing, room isn't large enough to test wide angles. But we have been very happy with the TV at price paid.
That's what we call a first-world problem on a third world planet... By the way only women use "ugh" in writing on the net. Drop some f-bombs you'll feel better 😉

The 55" 5 series is still available for me at BB but I'm sticking with this one. The 5 series has a better picture but the 65" is bigger and has Roku. My family is familiar with Roku and they dislike the Hisense google 65" TV. But it's a tough choice.
5 series 55" for $200 or this for $228... I do want local dimming but an extra 10" for only a few bucks more..
If the room is smaller and 55" is probably better, but if it's a bigger room I'd go with the 65". The 5 series is better but I'm not a fan of the google app.
Imbecile. It's the area that matters, not the diagonal inches. Go back to school.

Sooooo the diagonal length doesn't affect the area?? omg!! please don't tell me you're this stupid!? And that does NOT change the point of my post, the cost per inches is still more on the 65" because it IS larger per square inches than the smaller, this is just an easier way to figure it out. Dummy!

Dimensions match up with the 65s455/65s451, Although the s455/s451 has eArc and the s41 claims to be just Arc. (But photo on Walmart show eArc)
The 1 ending just designates that it's the Wal-Mart version to prevent price matching. Photos of front and back match up as well.
