Any opportunity to put a smaller diameter wheel on your car to save on tires?

I took my '15 Sienna from 18" to 17" (the only OEM sizes), '13 ES300h from 17" to 16" (because the Avalon platform on which it is based supported 16"), '06 Beetle down from 18" to 15" (because the ancient Golf platform on which it was build had supported 15"). As a bonus, you will likely get marginal improvements in mileage. Just stop trying to pull those Fast & Furious corners...

Good luck!
Jon

Good luck!

You are missing the point. The tire that I need is more than $110, so buy 3 get 1 free is a better deal for me.

Thank you for the help. Really odd, when I clicked on your link, it jumps to americas tire website for my westcoast stores and that blackfriday teaser ad is not there. I'm totally confident that both are the same stores like hardee is the same as carl's jr so therefore will honor their blackfriday deal.

I'm thinking of buying a set for an Acura MDX. I live in Cali so any type would do. But wanted to ask does anyone know if I was to buy and keep them in the garage, would the rubber deteriorate?

Love discount tire's service but it was cheaper for me to get the Goodyear Winter Command tires for 90 a piece at walmart then get $10 off my total with a coupon code + $17 back with 5% cashback through websitethatshallnotbenamed. There's nothing even close to that range for 205/55r16 or 225/50R16 in winter tires from what I've found.

create now or later doesn't matter but you need to log in to see that instant rebate $110 to reflect in your cart. I've done this deal in the past before. Must log into your account to see reflected pricing.
So it is safe to make the account now/early?

FWIW, I've priced out many of the Buy 3 Get 1 Free deals from PepBoys and WheelWorks, and even standard deals from America's/Discount Tire come out the same or better. Usually the installation and warranty costs are higher, and often required, with those 3/1 deals. PepBoys will often have a Buy 2 Get 2 deal a couple times a year, and then the math usually works in their favor, but I've had such terrible service & support issues with PepBoys, including 3+ hour waits for install, nail repair, etc., that I completely gave up on them. At a certain point the $50-100 savings difference if completely burned up in all the wasted time and frustration.

Don't they just jack up their prices before the sale?

1. Clean and dry tires thoroughly before storage. ...

2. Keep the tires out of the sun. ...
3. Store tires in a cool, dry environment. ...
4. Keep each tire in an airtight plastic bag. ...
5. Store them vertically or horizontally. ...

FWIW, i had America's Tires price match Goodyear Assurance Max Life tires this week to Walmarts sale price so a $224 total savings plus I should still qualify for the Goodyear $50 mail in rebate. Just bring in a print out of the cheaper price and they will adjust the price no questions asked.
This was for 215/55/17 tires.

$177 each at America Tires
$122 each at Walmart

For price matching, be sure to check TireRack AND Costco before you move forward with a purchase at Discount Tire/America's Tire. The price adjustment needs to be reflected on the order as the "out the door pricing." Costco includes road hazard protection by default, which is equal to Discount Tire's "certificates." Be sure they factor that into the out the door final price. Also be sure you screenshot the better price (assuming you find one). They say they monitor everyone else, but in all my years buying from them, that's never proven to be the case. Love their service. Hate their sales division.

You can make an account now and do some comparison shopping. See what you can get now as to in comparison to what they are offering on black friday, the 24th is when this deal is going live.

I have done it in the past before. If it is a rebate deal, you can tell your instore rep to make it an instant rebate and you will buy their set of tires. Now with this blackfriday double dipping deal, you already get $110 instant and some tires do comes with their own manufacturer rebate so perhaps they can combine it? Now this deal is asking you to make an account and buy online. If you go into the store, can they value you that same deal? I think they can and should.

Also, you save an extra 5% or triple dipping the deal if you sign up for their credit card. I usually don't but it is an added option if you want to roll that way. I gotta wait a week to get me them tires. Knock on wood, my tires are bald now.
