Any opportunity to put a smaller diameter wheel on your car to save on tires?

I took my '15 Sienna from 18" to 17" (the only OEM sizes), '13 ES300h from 17" to 16" (because the Avalon platform on which it is based supported 16"), '06 Beetle down from 18" to 15" (because the ancient Golf platform on which it was build had supported 15"). As a bonus, you will likely get marginal improvements in mileage. Just stop trying to pull those Fast & Furious corners...

Good luck!

You are missing the point. The tire that I need is more than $110, so buy 3 get 1 free is a better deal for me.

Sadly I spent a few hours pricing out tires for my GLC300 4matic and Walmart had the cheapest prices, the next one a buy 3 and get the 4th for 1.00 at the MB dealer via the MBtire website and of course the dealer didn't say a word when my suv was in for service, other than you need new tires soon.

Walmart was much cheaper than Discount tire, I even called them and it was 150.00 less than the dealer full price so, not sold on them guess it's back to shopping multiple store.

Sorry to hear that the deal was not in your favor.

I think this deal is only good for those who tires are $210 or less per tire. This would then be in comparison to a buy 3 get one free deal. It all depends on whether you need new tires right now since the deal is pushing for a sense of urgency.

If this was redit or Facebook comments, you would get those who would say that you are driving a Mercedes so you must have money but yet, you are still trying to save money.

Perhaps there is a better deal for cyber Monday? I dunno.

There's so many douche bags making worthless comments that don't even contribute to posts. We could care less that you prefer a different deal or your preference on tires.
I could be wrong but it sounds like you could NOT care less Smilie

They were willing to PM the Costco Michelin deal for $150 off 4 tires. But I only need to buy 2 tires. Has anyone had luck getting a partial discount on 2 tires?

I am buying my nephew a set of tires as a gift. Do I have to purchase TPMS sensors as well for an additional $170?

Tpms can be helpful because it shows signs of leakage due to a nail in a tire. We don't tend to catch these road hazard off the bat because we don't often check our tires that often. However and depending on your pockets, I would not get tpms because I'm at least car savy and can do light maintenance on my vehicle. Americas tires franchise will give you free air and they can visual check your tires for free if ask. They have taken nails out of my tires for free too and on the paperwork, it shows an alternative tire or the same one can be replaced if the tire is beyond repair by the nail. Maybe they thought I had road hazard certificate on my tires when bought new I dunno but I waive all extras. I even go as far as saying I want them old tires back so they took off $3 per tires for disposal fee. Once you see your car is being service, you can let them tech guys know that you want them to keep them old tires. The guy in front that takes your order from the counter is usually not the same guy that does your installation. They wear different color uniform to distinguish their hierarchy. I save another $12 right there.

Picked up some bridgstones for $20 more than the cheapest tires I was gonna buy. I was able to pay with PayPal so I'm getting 5x points with my chase freedom card.
Good deal all around.

Got a set of Michelin defender t & h 235/55r17 for $150 each or $730 out the door with installation and tax. Same pro rated warranty as Costco. 80000 mile tire, low stock, they are being discontinued and replaced with the defender 2 which are $41 more per tire in this size. I like how they will work with you on competitors prices.
Update: made an appointment for black Friday. The parking lot was nearly full and the bays were full. They said give them an hour. Walked over to Ruby Tuesday next door for a quick lunch and Lowe's for some bf batteries. Got a text msg about 50 minutes later saying the car was done. Very pleased with the 80k Michelins. Big difference from the Pirelli p7 centurinos that had 3/32s left on them.

I took advantage of this deal yesterday. I'm very happy with the service and the tires. I'll definitely use discount tire again.

Be sure to check Walmart for tires.

The Pirelli P7 All Season Plus 3 for my fiancee's car run $185/each before the sale/rebates in this deal. They're $111/ea at Walmart, without getting back prepaid cards, etc.

If you want to bitch that you don't trust Wally World to install your tires, take them elsewhere just as you would with this "deal."
