That ruling won't require Apple to adapt to USB-C until autumn 2024

Are the 2nd gen pro worth it over the 1st gen pro?
I tried the 2nd gen pro at the apple store and honestly I couldn't tell the difference between that and my very first airpods sound wise.
The main thing for me is volume control which the first gen should've had. Supposedly sounds better but most people probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

Hopefully Costco. If Apple comes out with a USB-C version per EU's requirements in <90 days, I'd prefer I got it from there.
Almost certainly the USB-C version of the Airpods Pro 2 will come out when the iPhone adopts USB-C.

When that will happen? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I tried the 2nd gen pro at the apple store and honestly I couldn't tell the difference between that and my very first airpods sound wise.
My situation is I bought the original AirPods Pros for $120 on Amazon about a year and a half ago as I had purchased an M1 Mac Mini during Amazon Prime Days and received a $60 credit. And they were on sale. But I hardly used them and about a month ago they just failed. Together the same day with no drops or anything. And didn't have AppleCare+.

So a few weeks ago bought another pair of the originals plus a pair of these 2nd gen ones to compare them from Costco on sale for $170 & $240. And also bought a pair of Bose QuietComfort SE Noise Cancelling Headphones also on sale for $220.
I think what I'll do though is return everything and buy a new pair of AirPod Pros 2nd gen.

But to answer your question I watched many reviews of these on YouTube. Probably at least 40. Smilie Some reviewers praised them and said the sound was way better with more bass especially. Others said they were only slightly better with one main difference was even better noise cancellaion which was good to begin with.

If purchased at Costco you have forever to return them if they drop this low. Not the 90 day return like on computers. If Amazon drops them this low, which they may, you have til Jan. 31 to return them. You could buy both like I did, compare them yourself, and decide which ones to return.

If you buy these at Target they just have the Allstate protection plan available. I'd rather have AppleCare+ at the same price. Someone will match their price. Or we can through Best Buy or somewhere.
2 Year Premium Headphones and Speakers Protection Plan ($200-$499.99) - Allstate $29
Yes. I could agree to go with AppleCare but I found deductible are super expensive with Apple for AirPods.

How much would be with Allstate if you lose it.

AppleCare+ isn't great for lost devices.

Its awesome for malfunctioning devices (especially outside of the 1 year manufacturers warranty).

Got a few earbuds replaced with bad speakers/mics easy at no additional cost.

Got my MacBook pro screen replaced at no extra cost.

In my experience, as long as you don't abuse or lose your devices, AppleCare+ is worth every penny.

Are we sure it'll be v2 on sale for $200 on the 20th? I was in Target yesterday and they were advertising the v1 on sale for $200.

I have them both. And I can't tell much of a difference. With either transparency I still can't hear my wife yelling to do something after the walk at me as I walk out of the house to walk the dogs. She is not a fan.
So I have a Costco AirPod pro with 5 months left apple care and a Amazon pros 2 purchased at 229.
Do I sell the pro 1?
Does Amazon price adjust, or do I return rebuy from Amazon or target or best buy if they all match on the 20th?
