Is Gangs of London S2 available on Britbox? It's available on AMC+ but only 2 episodes so far, I don't want to wait.

When will these streaming channel apps stop? Are we supposed to pay $5-15 for every single channel we watch now?

Y'all can download the app for free and browse the entire collection. Browse all details of each show just as if you had a subscription. Ofc it won't let you play a show, but at least you'll see what a sub will give you.

Was all set to sign up, then realized it's only for "up to two months" and decided #$&+@ that. Make it a year and we'll talk.

on the number of crime dramas - spot on - there are tons of them. If all of them were true there would be no people left in the UK.

Some good shows I've seen:

The Complete Sharpe series from the mid 90's - based on Bernard Cornwell's Napoleonic War / Indian War book series on a chap who comes up from the ranks- sure it's not 4k but it's a fun plot and a great character - Sean Bean stars I guess in an early career role.

MI-5 - similar to 24 in the US but less sensational

The Responder - gritty Liverpool setting - no US equivalent I can think of

House of Cards - this is the UK original, not the Kevin Spacey version

On comedy - there's a ton in there - if you want dated, Blakes 7 is a sci fi drama I used to watch as a kid - so if you like Dr Who, give it a try. Also "A Bit of Fry and Laurie" is fun stuff from way back.

Lastly, BlackAdder is a great comedy series from way back. No idea about all the new stuff.

Compared to paying $150-$200 per month on cable for hundreds of channels you don't ever watch and a few you do, at least you can feel better knowing it's your choice and what you pay for you DO watch.
