I did a Samsung trade-in last year. You have something like 30 days, but you can call them and request an extension. There's no drop-off option. Samsung will email you a shipping label so you just need to take it to a Fedex store. Takes 3-5 days to get to their processing location, and then a few days to process.

The key thing is you want them to receive and process the trade-in before your return period ends, just in case something goes wrong with the evaluation. Last year, many people got an an initial rejection of the trade-in, but a chat or phone call was usually able to resolve it.

There was a massive thread on a similar deal a year ago. A lot to read through, but you'll find all the details on the trade-in process.

I traded in an incredibly old ipad to get the galaxy S7 fe tab on a similar deal a few months ago.

galaxy 7 FE is sooooo slow. slower than my 6+ year old ipad. the only thing i can do on this tablet that doesn't frustrate me with how slow it is, is streaming netflix/youtube. horrible tablet.

Also the wifi only version has a better Qualcomm SoC.

I traded in my iPad Air 2 for $275 and got the $175 256GB wifi variant for $218 with tax. CA charges tax on the pre-promo prices which is crap, but the total still seems good for this performance and feature set. Seems the S Pen is also included, which is neat.

I believe 256 GB comes with 8GB ram and 128 6GB. i cancelled my 128GB and ordered 256GB for $30 more. Traded in my old slow S2 for $200 = total comes to $289

Won't see anything better black Friday right? Got an iPad air 1st Gen near me I can get for $50. This seems decent. But I can wait for BF or Christmas if there's going to be a better deal.

I have the same doubt in mind. But I think I will have return period for at east 30 days (may be more for holidays season.). If I see a better deal before shipping my trade-in device, I might just return this and jump on there.

I managed to get my order in for the S7 FE w/iPad Air trade-in, but every time I try to order an S8 with S7 FE trade-in, it doesn't show the trade-in discount at the last step. Anyone else having this issue? Happened with the first order too, but somehow managed to click the right thing to make it work.
