A good deal is when an item is significantly less than its normal or historical price regardless of where it's being sold (assuming the store is reputable). Amazon is more convenient, but just because it's close to a price on Amazon, doesn't mean it's not a good deal.

Somewhat of a cult following rooted in being tough watches (often used by military, police, divers, etc). Much tougher than regular casios. You can find pictures online of very beat up gshocks that still work. They also have a trendy fashion aspect of having unique colorways and collaborations watches. Also for those who prefer digital to analog watches (like me), they have many digital options. The toughness and digital options is why I buy/wear gshocks.
