Oh does that mean I should have PlayStation plus subscription to play this game?

Would have like $29.99, but it looks like I'm in on this when Walmart hits $34.99.

I looked at metacritic and user ratings are very very low.. 2.0 Microtransactions and need to be online to play.. Has this been fixed?

The meta rating is because of ppl that got upset so they absolutely purposefully bombed the reviews... not saying it wasn't warranted but it ain't all that bad.

To play online multiplayer yes, to play the game no but it still requires an online connection for the main single player component.

That's for the PS4 version.

I bit on this. Got a $.99 TotalTech discount, had $10 in reward certificates, and get same day delivery with the TotalTech. $31.98 total. Solid deal.

Read or watch some reviews on this game. It is NOT the Grand Turismo of old, and it's pretty much a money grab designed to drain your wallet.

Thanks, I'll keep an eye out for a deal on an earlier version.

I saw these same reviews and it totally made me not want to get it. Some cars were $20 to buy before outrage made them change it. The current state of nickel and diming in video games is an absolute shame.

In the late 80s NES games were $50. Thats $120 in todays money, and todays games are orders of magnitude more expensive to build. I'd say that we are pretty fortunate that games are still only $50-$60 when brand new and less when a few months old. A few dollars in optional microtransactions arent the end of the world and help keep the industry healthy (ish)

Thank you. Not to mention increasing cost of development

Though to be fair, I play Asphalt 9 and it costs several hundred dollars to get one of the good cars and that is maybe 1/10th of a game compared to Gran Turismo.
