This is really good headset, much better than the ePOS that they sell. This is leagues above Logitech and hyperx sound

Sennheiser headsets usually have better cleaner audio quality compared to those brands esp when considering the microphone quality. watch a youtube review comparing the pc37x to others and you'll see.

Was seriously considering getting these at that price. Problem is there's so many gaming headset brands like HyperX, Steelseries, Astro, Logitech, Razer, Corsair, etc, that all have what seem like good headset at around the $100-150 price range that it's so hard to know what to get. I've been running the Logitech G432 because they're cheap @ $35, but the headband too skinny and digs into the top of my head. After a long gaming session, I will notice an actual indent on the top of my head and it'll actually hurt to touch. It is so dam uncomfortable that I'm considering getting something better, but don't know what.

"The Sennheiser PC 37X is a totally solid gaming headset: it's comfortable, sounds good, and offers pretty clear mic audio. The velour headphone pads make this a great option for gamers with glasses. The quiet mic is a little obnoxious, but if all you're going to use it for is Discord, boosting the output is easy.
The real factor that should dictate whether you get this is whether you want an open-back headset. If you're looking for something to isolate you from a noisy home, this is almost certainly not the right headset. For even less money, you can get the HyperX Cloud Alpha, a closed-back stereo gaming headset with fantastic audio (though it also has a quiet mic). If you're looking for something with a few more features, the Razer BlackShark V2 is cheaper and better on basically every front, though it is a closed-back headset. The SteelSeries Arctis 7 will also around the same price and delivers just as many features as the BlackShark V2, only it's also wireless."

I have a the hyperx cloud flight wireless s and Beyerdynamic DT 700 pro x. While it's pretty obvious the 700s sound better (wired + better quality but no mic), the Flights do really well for the convenience and for being a "gaming" headset.

I was really close to getting these at one point, but got the Flights for the convenience. It's all preference.

For example I have the DT700s as well

If i wanted to add a mic to them for xsx or ps5, how can I do that?

All the attachable mic options seem to be for headsets with aux inputs, which those obviously don't have

I'm trying to work that out right now. (Thought not 100% about console, since I'm on PC) Everyone seems to suggest ModMic. I tried Zalman ZM-MIC1 too. Those are all separate attachments though, with separate input.

I'm currently waiting on a Mini XLR -> 3.5mm female adapter to see if I can make that work with a detachable 3.5mm (male to male) with inline mic on it. Hopefully it works.

I have the old pc350's from like 2010 and they are still going strong, i think these have the same ear cup size as those. I also ordered the 29.97 Epos version from the Costco deal the other day , they sound nice but the cups are a little small for me. Considering the replacement ear-cups are 30-40 now this seems like a good deal

For $69 this PC37X seems like a great deal.

For myself personal setup that took me substantial trial-and-error to arrive upon:

I use the Sennheiser 560S with a V-Moda add-on microphone with a Mayflower DAC-AMP.
It's a great little setup for music, work calls, and FPS gaming without needing to switch headsets/headphones.

I have the Sennheiser PC38X (more expensive iteration of this PC37X on sale), and personally I feel the 560S with an add-on microphone is far, far superior - better overall sound quality and better spatial sound for gaming, too. The DAC-AMP with microphone input is pretty expensive but even without a DAC-AMP the 560S does really well with spatial sound.

I put an ant lion mic on my AKGs and it's great, best FPS setup I've come across yet

Razer is dog-shit tier for audio. HyperX (HP), SS, and Astro make some decent stuff. I would still take the 37X over those but the gamer brand headsets aren't all crap.

I've been waiting for a 560s deal to pop up so I can basically have your setup. How is the Vmoda mic when running through the DAC? I assumed I wouldn't be able to drive them with my little E10K while needing to use the mic for gaming.

I bought these for the same price in October, and they're AWESOME! Mic is better than the Blue Yeti Snowball I had, and I can clear the space on my desk from the boom arm and massive desktop mic.

Buy with confidence. This is better than any "gamer" brand headphones under $100 easily. Open back is also the way to go. These are great for being a sweaty soundwhore in MW2 lemme tell you.

Good deal but FWIW I have a big head and the clamping force was quite substantial on these when I bought them last year. Maybe they'd loosen up over time but I returned my pair.
