My Pro 4 XL and Pro 3 Spotlights had terrible screeching static feedback when viewing live or recorded video. The only way to stop this was to remove microphone capabilities, which isn't ideal when listening for noises or 2 way communication. It's been an issue with these cameras for a couple years that hasn't been remedied by Arlo yet.
I spoke with support a few times and removed any potential interference. Unfortunately, nothing solved the problem and I returned both products right before the return window closed.
YMMV, but wanted to flag this issue for anyone considering these.
I also had the wired doorbell, which worked well, so maybe it's an issue with the batteries on these devices.

Note that if the thumb drive gets full, the hub automatically starts recording over the oldest files. Unless the desire is to save a lot of videos, a huge HDD is not really required. But thumb drives are cheap so I would go that route. If you plug in a bigger drive, my expectation would be that only 2TB max would be accessible. Hope this helped. I have been using Arlo since their first Arlo and have generally liked the product.
4K, solar, no monthly sub as recordings are local, home base has 16GB storage plus you can add HDD for up to 16TB! I already have 2k setup by them. Will wait for something like this to go on sale

The first one was covered under the 1 year warranty, but I had to pay for shipping. The second one was not...
