I used to think these multi panel lights were the coolest looking things ever. Then I realized that if one panel ever dies, you can't do much about it other than buy an entirely new light fixture or open the thing up and replace the LEDs yourself (because everyone has the skill, time, and hardware on hand to easily do that, right?).

Save yourself the headache and get one of these styles of standard bulb splitters:

They can be purchased CHEAP and come in a bunch of varieties and numbers of sockets. I put one of these in a storage room connected to my garage that only had one socket. Going from one LED to five LED bulbs made a dramatic improvement and I haven't had a single regret. If one of the bulbs ever dies, you just screw in a new one.

Basically, these LED panel lights are gimmicky and not nearly as practical or repair friendly as a good ol fashioned light bulb and socket that can be replaced at most any grocery or hardware store.

Bought these last year from Costco like others did as well. Put two in the garage and one in the attic. Completely changes the lighting for the better and super bright. I'm sure they get hot, but I've had them on for 30+ minutes with no issues.

I added these to my garage opener with a couple of flexible bulb extenders from Amazon. When the garage door opens or shuts, it's nice and bright. A great price if u can find them in stock.

I wanted to do that. I didn't think it was possible. I will look into these E26 extenders.

Not a bad idea for high-ceiling spaces, but can you imagine losing roughly a foot of headroom to this adapter + bulbs, in a normal 8-foot space?

You don't. Every socket that you see sticking down in the pictures are on a metal bearing so they can be adjusted how you want them. Mine are all spread outward and I would imagine that it takes up no more room than the panel light would

You raised a good point. That said, since the seller is Costco, replacement is an option.
