Yes you plug it in with a USB cable, which I believe is included. The cable provides both power and data to the drive.

Mine came with a USB C to USB C cable and it has an adapter for normal USB
Thanks!

Other than drawing power, how do these differ from drives such as this?

This is a solid state drive, those are not.

I'll let you Google the difference....

Well, this one for 20.99 states specifically it is a solid state drive, so you are wrong on that point.

Why not enough thumbs up for this? Is this not the most bang for the buck for 2TB ssd?

I bought one a few weeks ago. This deal has been around for a few weeks. Love mine.

A USB drive is "solid state".

Did you even look at the reviews? I wouldn't touch that!

WD, Samsung, Toshiba, Seagate. That's about all I'd trust for a portable drive. I wouldn't waste my time on that. I see them on Amazon, too. I'm not plugging that into my computer.

Any self-respecting computer guru isn't going to plug garbage into their computer. Get a bad drive, and it could be programmed to fry your computer. I've seen videos on it.

I tried to tell someone to get it from WD, at the same time, but he waited too long.
