    Trying to figure out best strategy for GOT. I've only played multiplayer, but have yet to pick up the campaign, and have a PS5 now. It's the standard edition. So to upgrade digitally would be $20 vs $29 here for the disc?

    I knew the Director's cut was on the game catalog for Extra. But I do not see it this week. When I search for Director's cut, it says it's only available for purchase. Could it be they removed it temporarily for this promotion so people buy it from the PS Store instead? Maybe it will return to the catalog one the sale is over.

    PS5 version has cut-scenes in engine, so if you choose the Japanese language option the lips will actually match what they're saying. Other PS5 version exclusives are haptics and goofy trigger stuff like bow string interactions and a very minor resolution/texture improvement. Both the PS5 version and the PS4 version running on PS5 run at 60fps. If you buy the director's cut of the PS4 version and decide you want those improvements you can always pay the $10 upgrade fee to run the native version of the game.

    PS4 to PS5 upgrade+dlc costs $30 (not including base game). It makes more sense to buy the PS5 directors cut for $30 and get the base game, PS5 upgrade, and dlc. You can always trade it in to GameStop when you're done.

    You can upgrade from the base PS4 game to the PS5 + DLC version for $20 right now. If you already have the base PS4 version, you might as well save $10 that way.

    I also already had the Spiderman 2018 PS4 game, but wound up just picking up Miles Morales Ultimate Edition to get the PS5 version of Spiderman along with all the added DLC because why not. Unlike with Tsushima, there's just no real upgrade path that also gives the DLC.

    I have the regular PS4 version and paid $10 to upgrade that to PS4 directors cut. It's 60fps 1440p instead of 4K and doesn't have haptics support with dualsense but I was ok with that.
