just fyi the batteries last multiple *years* so not a big deal. we bought 2 sets of 3 from sam's club 2-3 years ago as gifts and both recipients are still using the same weird fake candles with the same batteries.

they do look substantially more like real candles than plastic candles (the outside is actual candle wax). that being said we didn't buy any for ourselves Smilie
