For me 6qt was just enough for family of four for many years. I bought an 8qt model only last year. I love being able to cook enough for leftovers in the 8qt.

I still use the 6qt for instance to cook rice while I have the roast and veggies cooking in the 8qt. This week I cooked spaghetti in the 8qt and chili in the 6qt to throw in the fridge while everyone is home for thanksgiving break.

PS we had leftovers from the 6qt sometimes too but not enough for another family meal.

This vs the Ninja Foodi? I always preferred instant pot but the ninja air fryer pressure cooker combo won me over.

Edit: I just saw the video of this and it has 2 lids. Pass The 6.5qt Ninja goes on sale for lower than this usually.

I purchased this and the ultimate lid is a pain in the ass about 1 in every 4 times I use the pressure cooker setting it holds my food hostage it started the 3rd time I used it one time it would not open till the next morning I can't find any info online.
Also there is no manual release for the steam and I think it has something to do with realign the steam there is no way to manually open this lid if it's locked it's not going to open period.
That being said when it works properly everything I have cooked in it has been the best tasting food ever and everyone that has tried the food I cooked in it agrees

Only 1 lid but beware mine does not always unlock even when it says it's ok to open lid and it happens frequently I would return it but when it works properly it's the best food I have ever tasted

Just recently bought this on cyber Monday deal same price. Something to think about is replacement parts. I wanted to buy an extra pot but couldn't find one. OEM doesn't have it for sale and there are no aftermarket ones either for the 6.5qt. I do like that this is all stainless steel inside, that's what won me over the Ninja 6.5 qt model at cheaper price because the Ninja has a Teflon coated pot. Granted it's easier to clean but Teflon peals over time.

They've been peddling this thing for over a month without much success for good reason: It's a clunker and its over-priced. The market is saturated with Instant Pots. I post wanted ads on CL then give them to seniors and families in need. Many donations which I receive are new or only used a few times. Others seem dead but just need an internal fuse. There's your slick deal, free to $20. Instant Pot is great but I don't see paying more than $50 new or $80 for the Pro. Stand alone air fryers and convection ovens yield better results and are easier to use imo.
