It's important to note (which it should in the title) that this is the *split top* version - where the top comes in 2 pieces and thus has a seam down the middle. There's nothing wrong with that on it's own, but some people like myself might not prefer that.

I just received my non-split top version of this desk (in 60" x 24") and set it up today and I am very pleased so far. The height range is very good and should suit anyone tall or short perfectly well. The desktop is *thick* and has a very nice look and feel (I got the reclaimed wood variant), and the height adjustment action is very smooth. It's also very stable (partly due to being quite heavy), which was a major selling point for me as I had read in Wirecutter that the Vari was among the most stable standing desks.

That desk doesn't have memory settings. QoL thing I guess but having to manually get the height just right each time seems like a pain. I'd rather set it and forget it.

Question just because I'm curious about it myself: isn't programmable heights the same as memory settings? You just set it to a certain height and program it to one of the 4 profiles?

Got the deal for the larger size during covid. Solid desk and super easy to install. At 200, it's a steal.
