Not a bad deal at all and while maybe not a top-of-the-line knife it has good steel, functions well and is attractive. Nice compact carry that will get you through the day without scaring anyone. Makes a great reasonably priced gift for those new to knives. One even the ladies will like. Even the box looks good. That being said I think regular retail is ridiculous but at $16 think it a very good value

What an interesting little knife. And I do mean little. I think these historically have been $50, but they list at $40 which to me is insane. I just bought one and it came out to $16 even with no tax and free shipping. At that price I'm very excited to try it out. I do like small knives.

Definitely a deal at the $16 price point. Running $50 on Amazon and in 30s on Ebay. Here is good review with both the good and the bad and the good I think far outweigh the bad especially at $16. His main gripe is that it is not ideal for heavy uses which is kind of obvious by the size of it. Sheepsfoot design is great for light to moderate edc and utility. Looks much better than a utility knife that costs about the same.

Thanks for the link to the review. I almost passed on this as they seemed too small to be useful. Will try as an EDC.

At $16 even if you decide you do not like it you can't go wrong. You can flip it or gift it and be in plus territory. I buy and sell knives and had these in stock but paid a bit more and decided to sell all. It took a while, but I did get $30+ prices out of them. At this price point one may go in the keep pile. I do like the guy's idea of taking the clip off and just pocket carrying. I have some bigger knows that even with clip on I find myself just dropping in pocket and something smaller would be better. I don't particularly like having to use a clip and just having a knife small enough to drop in pocket is more convenient. The reality on most days is I am opening some packages or doing other light duty stuff. Statgear is kind of hit or miss but this is definitely one of their better designs and all were of consistent good quality. Thatt could not be said for a different model that varied greatly in function. That model was the Asus and out of five, three had some issues.

That's a nice review. It's really what I expect out of a small knife like this. I have plenty of full size folders that will make sort work out of any pile of cardboard. I just don't always want to carry a monster knife with me when I'm out of the house and just need something for small tasks.

Website went down as I was adding them to the cart.

Bummer.

Edit:
I was able to order using my phone. I don't know what the problem is with my computer.
Thank you!

At 40 bucks it's retail isn't as bad as a lot of other "budget" knives in d2. Hell the spyderco tenacious is upwards of 60 with 8cr13mov, that's ridiculous.

Yes but compared to other Chinese made knives that $40 is not so good. You are getting near where Kizer and Civivvi price points are, and they have some very nice knives that can be had for $50 or less. I wouldn't class the Slinger a value at $40 and think it overpriced there when comparing to other Chinese knives. We are in a golden era of very nice knives coming out of China and what you can get for even $25 sometimes is quite impressive. Amazon is full of them. Not saying the Slinger is bad and find it quite nice and attractive but I would probably balk if it was pushing low or mid $20s when other options are available. At the $16 it becomes kind of a no brainer.

Bruh, a 2" blade and 3" handle. I recommend waiting for a larger knife.
Yes, this would get lost in my hand. I also did the Ausus Kickstarter and was not overly impressed with the knives. If it was the Slim for $16 I might have bitten.

Got one for my 12 year old Boy Scout. He Carries a fix blade kn his hip during hikes and camp outs but this will be nice and compact for his "essentials" kit. Thanks
