Vs. the 2722, depends on your use case.

This was my pandemic monitor for WFH. It's a fantastic display. If you happen to be a Mac user, this is a slam dunk. The U2720 handles Display P3 like a champ. 95% coverage of the P3 gamut. The S2722 doesn't have a wide gamut, so it can't match the presentation of a MacBook Pro, MacBook Air (M1 or later has P3 gamut), etc. The 2720's factory calibration should be better, too. True photo/video work requires something better, but I've been really, really happy with the 2720 as a productivity monitor that's a natural extension of my Mac's built in display. I started the pandemic with a cheaper LG 4k that wasn't as color accurate and lacked P3 gamut (so, probably a lot like the S22). Things sometimes looked "off" when moving them between screens. Swapping the 2720 in "fixed" that, and I never think about the monitor now. I guess that's a strange way to praise the 2720, but it does its job well and never gets in the way.

If you only care about sRGB and value built in speakers, the S2722 is the better value.

This a good value for an Ultrasharp 4K productivity monitor. Though it's 2020 model has 1 each DP / HDMI / USB-C.

with Amex offers, you dont have to meet the total spent in one purchase. You can break it up to as many purchases as you'd like. As long as you hit the required total spent, Amex will track and notify you of the cash back. So you can do two separate purchases if you are unable to buy 2 monitors at the same time.

Purchased, you can't get a USB-C hub and 4K, no less Ultrasharp for less than $500. I know there's newer model but this is better than the other monitors non Ultrasharp 2022.

Depends what you're reading. You can't read mammo with it, but it may work for msk, abd xr, or chest xr (3mp). Backlight isn't as strong as a true diagnostic monitor, so some detail may be missed.

Dell makes a lot of different monitors, but their Ultrasharp has been a step above their other lines (with some exceptions like their pros and uber gamers stuff). I have had an Ultrasharp U2410 that lasted over a decade. I recently replaced it with another Ultrasharp 27 inch and is happy with it. These Ultrasharp monitors are color calibrated at the factory individually so when you get them, they are already color accurate right from the start. I dont think their S-line have that so you will have to do some manual adjustment yourself. Plus Dell provides a great warranty for their monitors. For $50 more, I'd get the Ultrasharp over the S- model. Fun facts: Most of Dell's top tier monitors use LG panels for years now. And LG panels are well-know for their quality. Even Apple uses LG panels for their 5k monitors. The first letter in the model stands for the model line, The first two digits mean the screen size and the next two digits stand for the year that it was introduced. So in this case U=Ultrasharp 27=27 inch 20=released in 2020.

How this is compare to S2721QS, listed 249$. The only major difference I see is type C port missing but it's 100$ difference.
