The 1st gen Ipads don't have a rear camera. I have a 2nd gen and asked Samsung CS if I could send a higher model (like 2nd gen or higher) and they said it'll be declined.

Better is subjective.

FE is a lot bigger (12.4" vs 10.4"), faster processor (not by much) and can be configured with more ram (4gb, 6gb, or 8gb).

But, they are both decent tablets.

The screen on S8 or S8+ is so much better than S7FE. I traded in my S7FE and got S8+ for $200 more.
