Just FYI. Telemundo is about 8-10secs delayed if that matters. Watching Qatar Ecuador rn. I'm comparing both Fox on YouTube TV and Telemundo on Peacock.
Are the games being transmitted in 4K?

Does it include tax? Just curious if I can use Discover card for the waiver! 😀
Should be good either way. Discover waives 1.99 for me on 3 cards.

It's worth it to upgrade the deal to Plus+. You'll kick yourself for being so cheap while you watch ad after ad after ad across so many cheesy Peacock shows.
This is slickdeals. Entire threads can get derailed on the dollars saved vs. being tortured with ads vs. ad blocker work arounds. Folks threadcap deals that are slightly more expensive because inflation or because black friday is a mere 8 months away!

You know better WheelaDealer! Don't distract from my is Hulu worth the extra dolla??

Just a fair warning that Peacock runs a shit load of ads on the standard tier. I personally couldn't stand it and switched to premium subscription.

What is exactly on Peacock that anyone would pay for? Just curious as outside of soccer (which I could not care less about and would not pay a penny for but that is me), I don't see why anyone would pay for this stuff. Many of the classic tv shows you can get on Pluto for free. Old movies are around from a number of places.

Just a fair warning that if you can't tolerate Peacock ads, stay far, far away from Hulu and Paramount. Peacock and HBOMax run half the ad load as Paramount and Hulu, per hour.

Can you get this new user discount if you create a new account with a different email but the same name, address, and payment info?

My last 99c per month Peacock deal ends in January, and I don't know if they'll do this deal again. I would have to overlap/waste 2 months if I did it on 11/28.

Peacock has a monthly rotation of movies that just left movie theaters. That by itself is paying for subscription if you compare to the price of renting them out. They do have lots of great TV shows and movies that you can't get anywhere else. And yeah, soccer English Premier League is fantastic.

No.. Telemundo is even inferior in quality compared to the regular Fox HD channel. But even the "4K" version via Fox Sports app is an upscaled 4K. Honestly, the Fox stream from YouTube TV (not 4K) is good enough. I have a 65 LG C1 Oled so the quality may differ depending on your TV. If u have a smaller tv and want to watch the World Cup for cheap, this Peacock deal is certainly the way to go.
But like I told my buddy though, the WC is only every 4yrs and if you really want to enjoy the full experience, just don't hassle and pay for a month's worth of good quality streaming coverage.

What streaming service would you recommend?

Thanks for the deal.

I don't think the Amex deal works as Peacock bills monthly and not annually. Amex requires a $9.99 min. Still a good deal.

Yellowstone!!

Well, I backpacked in South America, so I guess I'll get Peacock over Hulu for the World Cup and nostalgia value. Great to have playing while drinking a beer and considering my poor life choices, like finding myself in the financial position of having to debate between a $2 streaming service and a $1 streaming service.
