Credit reports are a scam unless you are dirt poor. They didn't exist before the 80s. You take a small point hit for closing a credit card, and 6 months later you'll have a 150+ increase for no reason. It's stupid.

People's credit scores go down when they pay off debt. It's a stupid system you shouldn't give a shit about unless you're broke and under 300.

Yes, I applied a couple hours ago and my account shows an amazon credit card as the payment option.

I did receive $200 digital gift card immediately during the same promo in July. But, I have never received a physical card. Is there any indication whether or not a card have been mailed out? I do have another card with Chase already and wondering if this could be a reason...Anyone?

Everytime I've done a pre-qualification with this card I always get the same message that they aren't able to access my credit report.... I don't freeze my reports, so not sure why I keep getting this message?

FYI I got the

"Unfortunately, an immediate decision about your application cannot be provided as it requires further review. You will be notified in writing about the status of your application within 30 days."

And I got a phone call from Chase within 5 minutes to ask me if it was me applying, not fraud, and I verified i did apply. They submitted my app while i was on the phone with instant approval at that time. $200 gift card in my account right away

Sweet deal. Thank you. Got both and got the $200 + 100 GC right away. I was originally getting the $60 promo only but I activated prime benefits and then refreshed and the promo changed from $60 to $200. Was originally using prime benefits from family member who is the main account person but I activated for $7.50 for next 3 momths and will cancel after that. Still worth it for the higher promotion.
